Flow stress during hot deformation depends mainly on the strain, strain rate and temperature, and shows an intricate relationship with them .In this paper an artificial neural network is used to predict the flow stress of austenite stainless steel 304.The main focus of this paper is to predict the mechanical properties of Austenite stainless steel 304 by conducting tensile testing at super plastic forming region. The experiments were conducted at different temperatures from 0 to 900 degrees at three different stain rates in three different orientations. The whole experimental data is randomly segregated into two parts.90% of the data is considered as training data and 10% data is considered as testing data. The artificial neural network is trained on the basis of training data and applied to predict the flow stress values for testing data, which were compared with the experimental data. The comparison between two sets of results indicates the reliability of the predictions.
