در سالیان اخیر، تحولات ناشی از فناوری های کامپیوتری بر محاسبات آثار به مراتب مهمی ایجاد نموده است. به صورتی که رقابت برای حل مسایل بزرگ مقیاس عالم واقع بسیار شدید شده است. در چند سال اخیر در حوزه رباتیک و بهینه سازی و مدلسازی ریاضی مسایل به مراتب دستاوردهای کامپیوتری نمود بیشتری یافته است. در این میان استخراج روشهای مناسبتر برای انجام محاسبات بسیار لازم و ضروری می نماید. دو حوزه بسیار کاربردی در این میان رباتیک و بهینه سازی است که هر یک نقش مهمی در توسعه دانش بشری داشته است. در گرایش محاسبات علمی با تمرکز بر روی این دو حوزه به دنبال ارائه راهکارهایی برای حل مسایل در حوزه هوشمند سازی و مدیریت هستیم. قابلیت های این نوع مدلسازی :
