The changing role of accounting: From consumers to shareholders
آشنایی با موضوع
سهامدار، یا سهامداران؛ به فرد یا نهادی (مانند یک شرکت)، که از نظر قانونی مالک سهام یا برگه سهام در یک شرکت سهامی عام و یا شرکت سهامی خاص باشد، گفته می شود. سهامدار مالک کسری از کل شرکت است و در ریسک سود یا زیان پیش روی شرکت سهیم است. سهامدار در تمامی درآمدها و دارایی های شرکت سهیم است، اما سود سهام او تنها پس از پرداخت سایر بدهی ها پرداخت می شود و در صورت انحلال شرکت نیز سهم او از محل باقیمانده دارایی شرکت پرداخت خواهد شد. مسوولیت سهامداران محدود است و تنها به اندازه میزان سهامی است که در اختیار دارند. سهامداران در نشست های مجمع عمومی شرکت دارای حق رای هستند و به این ترتیب می توانند در اداره شرکت دخیل باشند. اگر شرکت در فعالیت اقتصادی خود به موفقیت برسد در واقع سهامداران شرکت به موفقیت رسیده اند.
