آشنایی با موضوع
تحرک کارگر و یا نیروی کار عبارت است از جابه‌جایی نیروی کار از مکانی به مکانی دیگر برای یافتن موقعیت های بهتر شغلی. تحرک کارگر و یا نیروی کار، حرکت جغرافیایی و شغلی کارگران است. تحرک کارگری به بهترین وجه بوسیله عدم موانع برای چنین تحرکی سنجیده می شود. موانع تحرک را می توان به راحتی به دو دسته مجزای شخصی و سیستماتیک غیرشخصی تقسیم شده است. موانع شخصی شامل مکان فیزیکی و توانایی جسمی و روانی. موانع سیستمیک شامل فرصت های آموزشی و همچنین قوانین مختلف و سیاسی و حتی موانع و موانع ناشی از حوادث تاریخی. افزایش و حفظ سطح بالایی از تحرک نیروی کار اجازه تخصیص کارآمدتر منابع را می دهد. تحرک نیروی یک محرک قوی برای نوآوری بشمار می رود. تحرک بین المللی کار به تحرک کارگران بین کشورها اطلاق می شود. مهاجرت و جابجایی مکانی نیروی انسانی، به عنوان موضوعی پایدار در رشته های گوناگون علوم انسانی، توجه پژوهشگران را به خود معطوف داشته است. به خاطر گستردگی مهاجرت در دنیای امروز، همه جوامع بشری به نحوی با چالش های مربوط به مدیریت مهاجرت روبرو می باشند. نتایج نشان می دهد که اندازه دولت کشورهای مبدأ و مقصد اثر معنی داری بر جریان مهاجرت نیروی کار متخصص دارد به گونه ای که با افزایش اندازه دولت، انگیزه برای سرمایه گذاری خصوصی کاهشو بنابراین مهاجرت افزایشمی یابد و با افزایش اندازه دولت در کشورهای مقصد انگیزه برای سرمایه گذاری خصوصی و درنتیجه مهاجرت به این کشورها کاهش می یابد، همچنین عواملی نظیر درجه باز بودن اقتصاد، آزادی سیاسی، تولید ناخالص داخلی، جمعیت و فاصله جغرافیایی نیز بر جریان مهاجرت منابع انسانی و نیروی کار متخصص تاثیر گذار هستند
